Next time, take your time and check everything first before you take delivery. Some people are not very honest because they just want to sell it because they know they have lots of problem with it.

anyway, dont blame whoever sold you the car. of course they arent gonna tell you all the mods that were on it cause it would scare you off. just mod the car and dont worry about its past... if it blows up, build it. i mean what are you gonna do take it back to him when it dies and say give me my money back?
I had the compression checked and vacuum line checked, something I don't have the tools for. I checked the fluids along with the belts myself. I was limited at the time when I bought the car on how much I could do, which was my bad. It was something I had to deal with.

I said it previously and I'll say it again. I wouldn't have cared if the car had been modded. It's and evo, I understand that's just a hand in hand thing. What got me on end was the fact that lied too about it and how hard the car was run.

It's difficult for me to do anything to the car without knowing what had been stressed and what to expect to replace soon. I'm going to drop the fuel tank this weekend to verify what pump it has in it, because I don't want to blow money on something it already has. Has the ecu been flashed? Things like this bug the hell out of me because I have to second guess everything about the car because the previous owner was not honest.

It was MY mistake placing good judgment on him. I'm an honest person and naively expected the same treatment. I'll pay the price with my money and my time. If I wanted my money back, I could have driven back down the next day before anything processed. But I like the car. Even after everything is said and done, I feel I can really do something with it.

Anyways, this is just a rant thread. So take it with a grain of salt. For the most part everything worked out in the end and hopefully I can move on to other threads .
