If I had to keep one mostly stock, it'd be a X, because I think they'd suit DD needs very well. If I wanted to do a bolt-on build and make sensable, streetable power, than I'd choose a IX. If I wanted to build a all out, from the ground up race car, an VIII is the way to go.
Me, I'm all about building a bolt-on sensable, streetable power type of car. So why do I have an VIII? Because I'm poor and can't afford a IX So I deal with an VIII.

Look at what some of the big companies are doing with the X's.... AMS using a X for redline time attack. The other AMS Blue Evo X that is rapping the time attack competition.. I love the look of the X's much better than the 8's or 9's. They are a bit piggish in stock form but how in the heck leaves and evo stock?!
There were some X's in the 10's in the drag racing world. If I had to buy another evo it would be X but id be aggressive with it just like I was on my 8.
