Sorry to see your Evo get messed up like that bro. I just got mine done two days ago. Most of it is finding the time and parts. Except in your case, you'll need the "expert" Hope you get everything sort out. GL

hah I'm 20 and pay 5k a year with 0 points

stupid California Bay Area

OP, I hope you can come up with the money to fix it..

even with my retarded 5k a year I would never take full coverage off while the car is still worth this much

Do you have a case at all? If you could win in court so that they decided it was his fault, you could have his insurance company pay for it.

x2 try and have a collision expert look at it and determine an approx rate of travel for the impacting vehicle

you might be able to get him if he was speeding

if I were you, I'd just part out the car and get what I can out of it. Doesn't look worth it to fix.

I'm sorry about your car man that sucks...

unfortunately you wouldn't win in court because you don't have a case....even if he was speeding, unless he ran a red light while you had a green, you are at fault.

My fiance made a turn like that once too, and some chick that was speeding, changed lanes without signaling, and was driving with an expired license (so she shouldn't have even been there at that point in time to cause the accident)

My fiance was "at fault" because the fact is, she turned into it (the good old "you should of looked more and been patient" excuse)

it sucks, but at least you're ok!

Man, I have between 3-6 points on my license depending on how long tickets linger for, and I only pay $1200 a year for full coverage, $1000 deductible though. I figure if anything happens and would cost under $1000, I could do it myself.

But 4-5K a year with 0 points in Cali? I'd move.

Guys always have insurance no matter what. If money is really tight then get rid of the car you are just asking for financial ruin that guy could come back later and sue you. If it is a bull$hit case still will cost you money and then you still have a broken car. Are you paying a note? God I hope not. Good luck man I feel for you but that is going to be so expensive to fix. I have full coverage on my evo and it sits in my garage mostly undriven because I don't have time but I would never even think of letting it sit in my secure garage with just liabilty. I hope everything works out for you and you can chalk this up to a life experience.

Dude that sucks..... similar thing happened to my brother, but he was in a neighborhood (25mph)... but the stupid lady had enough energy to push his car completely up on the curb and sidewalk after laying down 120 feet of skid marks.......

Luckily we documented it and took pictures, the judge didn't believe she was doing 25mph........
