Evo Crash
Evo Crash
so yesterday, i was going to the store in my Viii. I was making a left turn on a green light (not green arrow) and there was no one coming. i was about 90% through my turn when a ford f250 came ****ing out of nowhere (it was a blind hill), and tried to run the yellow light, apparently he didnt see me making my turn so he clipped my back side and spun me around a bit.
I got the citation for being at fault because i failed to yield to oncoming traffic, yet when i made my turn there was no one coming and i would have completed the turn had he not tried to speed through the yellow light. but whatever.
Loing story short, i only have liability and not collision or comp. Luckily his truck did not get any damage at all, but unfortunately my evo did. Here are the pictures.. you will notice its my back passenger side fenders and back passenger door. The truck was high enough to where it did not hit my wheels because when i drove the car to the parking lot it did not pull or anything, but im a newb when it comes to that stuff so who knows.
Anyone got any input on how much this could possibly run to fix?

Liability on a car this expensive is stupid. Also if the frame is bent that could be totalled. That being said since you're in Colorado post up at coloradoevo.com, there are a few guys who do body work on there and will likely hook you up.
Surprise, surprise the wing is okay :P

That is really not that bad but labor intensive, You could fix it yourself if you have the skill set?
Parts will run you about 1,200 or so if you buy them used, I actually have everything you need to fix it so if you need it lmk.

If you were to take it to a body shop you would be looking at 6-7k for sure.
Get yourself a lawyer, find some witnesses, and go after him. And why the heck would you be driving a car that valuable without comp. or collision? Even with just liability, call your insurance company and explain to them what happened, they may help you to go after his insurance.
Your looks alot worse than mine, but most of the same parts would need to be replaced. 1/4 panel, bumper cover, tailight...
Mine was $4700 for the rear 1/4 replaced, new bumper cover, new rim(it was dinged), taillight, paint and labor...
If you bought a door and the bumper from someone on here, you're looking at about $2k for the quarter panel, paint and labor.
That is only IF there is no frame damage. How do the lines on the roof look? Everything straight? How about the other side of the car? Check to make sure the doors shut smoothly and the gaps between panels are all evenly spaced.
I attached a pic of mine for reference:
