Where do I find Recaro Material??

Okay I am almost positive I am not the only one with rips in my driver seat, or worn white marks on the passanger seat.. My suede is dying on the doors and there is no shops around here that match the color. I always get a brownish / reddish suede never the deep blue black that matches my interior. I dont want to buy new seats. Can anyone provide me info or point me in the correct direction? I can have my buddy fix the seat if I had the material. I have also emailed Recaro numerous times about this issue but to no avail. I have yet to get a response from them.

I know this isn't what you're asking but you can try fabric dye, there was a thread where the guy did his door panels and seats but I can't find it.

Only found this:

i'm on the same boat. the weird thing is that you can probably find BRIDE fabric a lot quicker. give me a heads ups if you do find it.

I see where you are going with this... it could work.... but I am going to hold out a little longer for the actual fabric. Thankyou for the option

The only answer is to go to a automotive upholstery shop. They have shelves full of books with fabric swatches. They also know the places to call when looking for fabric. If they can't make a match you are out of luck.

The material isn't suede; it's Alcantara.

Sorry wrong link... Joe Beales from Capital Seating informed me that Alcantara is the proper material for the Evo 8 seats.

I spoke to Recaro directly. They said they can re cover the seats in the exact same pattern as whats in OEM recaro equipped cars (car makers pay for exclusivity) but they have a host of other choices and the price isn't that expensive. I believe it was about 250ish a seat for the front.

I seriously considered that but the downtime (he said about 2 weeks max) was a concern and I found some MR interior for a decent price and went that way.

If it wasn't for the turnaround time.
