Help with BEATHRUSH Front plate installation...

Ok I have an EVO8 with and an EVO 9 front bumper pictured below....i orderd a beatrush front license plate holder but the holes on the bumper dont seem to match the holes on the front plate holder. Just wondering if I can get some ppls opinion on the holes on the front bumper....does it seem like the holes were drilled wrong, or in the wrong place or too big?...were they drilled out too big because as you can see when I align the bracket onto the bumper it doesnt line up at all. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I have a EVO9 as well, but it from my expirience those holes that are on there right now are for the original OEM Mitsubishi Front Plate Bracket, not for the Beatrush one.

i was thinking the same thing as well but on the a thread i found from kamispeed it was said that the original holes for the oem bracket could be re used which is why i bought the beatrush one and now im having a hard time installing it...either it was a lie that they could be reused or the bumper holes were screwed around with when it got repainted...

you need to reuse the rubber well nuts from the oem bracket, that is why the diameter looks too large. That said it looks like the holes are in the wrong places.
The thing you have to do is redrill the holes for the plate on the beatrush bracket.
Below is a picture of mine.

Are you the first owner of the Evo you have currently?

I ask this because the OEM Front Plate Brackets use only 2 on top, and 1 in the bottom.

I'm curious to why you have 3 holes on the top.

Edit: I just went outside to take my OEM Front Plate off, and the holes were horizontally symetrical too, I don't know why you 3 holes arent lined up either.

I'm sitting here scratching my head like "WTF".

You might be able to position the Beatrush Bracket to where you can cover the original holes you have on there originally?

Just a thought, because I'm pretty sure a bodyshop will eyegouge you to fill in those holes for you.

Worse comes to worse, I suggest 3M Double Sided Tape and Zipties...... if the bodyshop wants your eyeballs / other bodyparts for payment to fill in those holes.
