Has anyone else bought and used this kit?
Looking for some more feedback.
I generally take long trips a few times a year and this would be a nice peice to have.

Light throttle spring pressure (on the throttle body), not pedal weight.

Sounds to me like the OP needs to find a more comfortable seating position (seat lowering brackets?) and/or install an aftermarket cruise control unit.

I believe that lancershop.com also has a cruise control kit. I'm about to drive to texas from illinois and definitely wish i had cruise. My knee starts to ache after about 2 hours.

I'm also looking for a way to firm up the gas pedal.

My BMW M3 has a very stiff gas pedal and I find when I get in the Evo, I can almost hardly control the gas and get a lot of modulation.

I'm going to look at replacing the spring for the gas pedal return.

..Most understanding. Dallas to Memphis in 10 hours.....then a return trip...
Change your foot orientation/point of engagement.
instead of driving flat footed against the pedal at neutral position, pushing toe out to accelerate, set your footat a 45 degree angle, with only the toe part of your shoe touching about the middle or lower part of the pedal. the lower your contact point of the pedal is, the more force required to change pedal position.
But, aftermarket cruise is the cure-all.

Really, I always thought BMW's gas pedal required too much force, at least from the E36M3s I had driven. Versus driving a friend's newer Civic the other day - the clutch and the gas pedal were so soft... I've always liked the pedal feel, but I also suffer from inadvertently driving 100mph on the highway without realizing it.
