I passed out in the back of my Evo one night about three years ago because I was too drunk to drive home. I usually keep blankets in my car because I live in snow country. I just folded up two blankets and used them in the seats to level them.

I hit the alarms button and slept like a baby!

I wouldn't hesitate to do it again if I had to.

texas law says you have to be operating a motor veh. for a DWI. so the keys could be in your pocket and your ok....now you might be charged with public intox.

 

it is NOT comfortable

 

first go to your local art supply store and buy a large piece of foam then cut it to fit the shape of your back seat. now keep the in the trunk so when you get blasted you just pull it out and lay it in there .
itll be as good as one of those swiss memory foam beds a good twin bedset wouldnt hurt either lol
and a few candles for the deck lid will really set the mood if your with you lady friend and your too cheap to get a hotel .

 

Removing the recaro's might help. Another alternative is probably to get 3 wings; one to support the head , one for the torso and other for your legs.
Weld those suckers on top of your aluminum roof and you got yourself a bunkbed.

 

oh thats not bad or you could gut the rear out and install a real bed in the back!! pillows and all .but dont forget to insulate the trunk so your feet dont get cold

 

I slept in the driver's seat once at the ER parking lot. Only slept for a little bit though and it wasn't very comfortable.

Best sleep I have had in a car was my 1998 Talon TSi AWD, folded the rear seats and slept in the hatch. Also slept in the back seat of a 99' Subaru Impreza, fetal position. Woke up with all sorts of odd aches.

Well I know when I drink I put the keys for my car in the rear wheel well to prevent a cop from giving me a DUI. considering my car is dropped you can't see the keys anyways. But I have 5% window tint on all windows and I put up a windshield cover when I fall asleep. ut I can sleep for a long time in the car its no bother for me though.

 

I usually can only sleep in the evo if I'm riding passenger. Maybe it's the vibration rocking me to sleep.

 

passed out in it after getting drunk with a bunch of friends and deciding camping was a good idea. we went out to 6 acres my family owns, made a fire, got drunker, i THINK i took a xanax. Over all worst night of my life. Dont remember getting in my car, dont remember sleeping, but i was asleep in it til 2 pm the next day so i must have LOVED it. My shoes were also gone, and i left my windows down so my car smelled like campfire for a week. the driver side was also covered in puke by the time i got home.

 

i've slept in the rear seats on a long road trip, cracked the window down a lil bit to rest my legs wasnt that bad

 

california is so stupid... if ur passed out in ur car with the keys in it. (not the ignition) they can be in ur ppocket or the car YOU CAN get a DUI... so i always left mine under the car and slept...

 

I am 5'11 225... i reclined both the driver and the passenger seats all the way back and slept on an angle across the car... my head on the passenger seat with my feel up by the driverside rear window.. it was ok cuz i had the two back supports aright around my love handles... so the softness of my fat made up for the firmness of the seats...
