Just FYI, that's only in certain states. And most states require you have the keys on you/in the car with you.

I've only ever taken a nap in the evo, and I wouldn't want to sleep for more than an hour or two in it (at least in the front seats).

But I did sleep in my talon once after a night of heavy drinking. My car was parked in front of my friend's neighbor's house, and for some reason I slept in my car. When I woke up the next day, the house I parked in front of was having a yard sale. It was one of those moments I wish I had on video, because I'm sure most of the people at the yard sale thought the car was empty and didn't know what to think when they saw some dude pop up in the driver's seat and just drive off hahah

I've done it before. Not because of being drunk though ( even though these stories had me laughing all day ). When I first got my Evo, 2 weeks later I was so sick that all I wanted to do was take a nap. I'm 5' 11". That was the most UNCOMFORTABLE nap I ever took! I felt even worse when I finally woke up.

Question. If the keys are in the trunk does that count? They're not accessible. I don't get drunk like that anymore, I'm 30 years old with a wife and two kids but I was wondering. A guy I work with got a DUI while sleeping in his car.
These days if me and the misses are going out we take the mini-van cause she can't drive a stick and doesn't drink like I do.

I am pretty sure that would count, the law as I understand it is if the keys are in the car with you. Just leave the keys outside the car.

Need to make a secretly placed handy dandy little compartment under your car that can be only opened from inside or by another remote.

There it's outside your car.

On Mini, they already have a secret key compartment under the car! Never knew how it would be useful, and that's how!

What about if the keys are in the engine bay???

By the way...I think that is a stupid part with that law....people are thinking smart and not endangering anyone or themselves. With this people say well hell I get one either way may as well just drive to my comfortable bed instead of these uncomfortable *** seats.

new jersey law states that the key has to be in the ignition, you cant hit someone wit a dwi if they are in the back of the car sleeping with the keys in the glovebox, center console, or stuffed underneath the rear seats lol

ive slept in it before numerous times from heavy drinking at the bars, friends parties, etc... im 5'11 and the best way for me to sleep in it is either on my back on the rear seat with my feet up by the rear speaker deck, or on my side kinda crunched up, plus it helps if u have a small *** pillow or backpack or some kind of cushion like a sweatshirt to sleep on...

dont ask how i found these ways to sleep lol, i only remember waking up in these positions and was like DAMN MY HEAD HURTS! lol : mitsu:

I had to sleep in the evo on my way to miami last month, I woke up at the rest stop with 35 cubans surrounding the car next to me having a damn fiesta, not giving a **** that I was asleep in the car right next to them.

I couldn't do anything but laugh. It wasn't too bad, but i'm only 5'10

I'm also 5'10", and I have to say it's pretty uncomfortable. It's very possible to lie lengthwise in the backseat though, ans long as your feet are up...
