Do I need a new tune?
Do I need a new tune?
Ok so this might be a stupid question to some but I am going to ask it.
My car is currently tuned with a 3" turbo back, test pipe, and a drop in K&N filter. I am going to order a Greddy profec B boost controller and an upgraded fuel pump. after I install those do I need to get my car retuned?
Thanks

don't bother install the fuel pump until you plan on getting a tune...the car will run rich and your gas mileage will be poor
you can install the boost controller just don't alter the boost level above what the car is currently tuned for

if i were you would not order the profec, thing is such a nightmare to you use...or atleast for me it was. just get an MBC, evos do great with mbc and they are cheaper than ebc's
and like everyone said, if you get the walbro get tuned for it, your gas economy will suck more than normal and youl run rich

I agree, get a mbc a pump, and then raise the boost a little when you get it tuned. You should be happy with the new power.

nothing wrong with that...I prefer to keep things as simple as possible for my own car as well but I run pump and race gas and the Profec B spec II keeps two separate boost profiles handy. Also wheelspin is a major problem on the street so I launch at wastegate boost, press a button on the greddy remote switch and let it have full boost when I get into 2nd gear
