i was looking at mine this week too. i noticed that the air conditioner had a very slight smell to it just like my wife's van lol so i need to order one soon.

True but it does have the spot for it and is possible to put one in, been thinking about doing it especially since I have pollin alergies!!! but it's at bottom of the list of things to do

Yes, it does have a slot for the filter on the 2003. Comes empty from the factory.

on my evo , u can remove the plastic part its completely shut , no acces for filter

Whenever I would turn the vents or ac system on I would get that stale smell. When I took out the old cabin filter it was dirty as hell. I ran some bg frigi fresh to kill off as much mold through the vents as possible and put in the new filter. No more smell, or sneezing,heh. definitaley worth it especially if you might have some allergies.

same here! that stale smell is horrid. good advice!

Oops, didnt have a clue on that one, never even thought about till I read this thread! but its nice to know I can put one in though.

(Ive been wondering why the inside of my car gets so dirty so fast after I sweat for an hour detailing the interior... OT.)
