That sucks man. The important thing is you're all right and so is your friend. There's tons of evos out there. Everything happens for a reason. Glad you're all right.

that sucks bro...its good that you only came out with a broken collar bone and your friend wasn't injured too badly either...i don't think you'll get screwed out of this because they should be able to identify the difference between someone driving 60+mph vs someone driving 30-35 mph by looking at the damage...i hope that you took a lot more pictures to add some more proof like where the other cars were after the hit (before getting moved to unblock any traffic), their damage, etc...good luck with everything

That sucks. I love how people seem to be calibrated with their eyes on how fast you were driving. One another note, the wing didn't make it. Thats a rarity!!

nope if the car is paid off then you can put whatever kind of coverage you want on it. if your not the owner yet then you have to have full coverage. Still with a car that expensive and if you really cant afford to swing another one you should have full coverage no excuses. This some of us dont have good jobs excuse earlier used then you should not put yourself in a bind and buy a evo period. now that im doing all this stuff to my car full coverage with aftermarket insurance is a must. I hope the op and his friend are ok and it turns out you were not speeding etc so you can get your evo fixed or get money for another one but next time just think about keeping full coverage the money you saved by not having it is not worth the overall risk

It seems like many drivers on the road don't quite understand the concept of "Yield". I've almost been hit many times because of people not yielding so I feel your pain.

Good luck with everything, hope to see you back in an Evo soon.

Glad you okay, kick the other guys butt.

Get a lawyer. Make them buy an Evo X for you.

hmmmm thats pretty sad all im saying is a bad or rather low paying job is no excuse to only have liablity on a 30k plus car. if thats how you roll then thats you but dont get into a accident and blame your job for not sheding out the extra money its on you if you cant afford it then the evo is not for you. but why would you be modding your evo yet the money spent on that could be spent on CYA first then have fun.

Same thing happend to me with my first evo I ever bought. Had it for 2 days then sum old guy did not yield to me when he was turning and I had a greenlight.

Cop gave him a ticket for failure to yield and his insurance had to take care of it. Who go issued the ticket? You should be fine as long as you blame him and have your friend was there to be a witness. If you got the ticket for whatever reason you need to fight that **** and most certantly not let this dbag screw you and your car over. Get a lawyer if things get out of hand. Best of luck!

Sorry to hear about this. Can they read a black box when the air bags deployed that show your actual speed? I know GM cars have this but wasn't sure if Mitsubishi puts it the Evo or not.
