I don't care for the black box myself. Hopefully they don't use any of that data against you.

I don't think people in this thread understand what liability insurance is. It only pays for the other persons car...if the other driver in this situation is at fault, then yes his evo will get fixed, but if its found to be his fault then no bueno. All out of pocket.

And btw speeding usually negates wrong doing of the other party for some reason. I remember a friend who was speeding, when somebody rolled a stop sign and hit him. They found him to be at fault. Not trying to worry you man, but want you to be informed before you go talking to all these folks.

Down with vehicle profiling!! lol

This sucks man.
Hope things work out with their insurance for you. If he had a yield hopefully you can prove his failure to obey traffic signs .

But i'm sure your exhaust made 3rd gear sound fast, so you were obviously speeding dude. hehe.

Good thing you're alright. And smart not talking until an attorney is present. If you really weren't speeding, they can pull at little black box from your car that'll have all the answers. you can then tell the people and the cops to put it in a pipe and schmoke it!

wow , sorry to hear this happened to you. and i'm sorry you were falsely accused , it sucks just bc you have an evo its assumed you were speeding. you know this already , but most importantly be happy you are okay , worse could have happened, so see that as the '' bright '' side of the situation. i hope everything works out for you and you get your evo fixed or even get a new one !

If the cop issued you a ticket for "failing to yield" = Get a lawyer And they will probley amend the police reports, to correct it in your favor.

If you dident get the ticket and they did you should be allright if the other person had insurance.

thats sweet because when i was there alone the cop was trying to get me to admit it was my fault and i stated no nothing is my fault he failed to yeild to oncoming traffic i did nothing wrong i was driving and his head was looking backwards as he was looking for something in the back seat or something and pulled out and hit me. the cop in that case did not get me for anything and i was not issued a ticket or anything also the guy did not signal his intentions so theres no way of telling what he wanted to do.

If your truly not at fault, then you don't have to worry a bit. I would call his insurance company , let him pay your damage.
