So I was on my way home from work Monday night (1100 mile drive) and I fill up for the first time in mississippi. The car ran fine untill next time I filled it up. When I accelerated going down the on ramp the car just fell flat on its face about 4k rpm. It felt like i just turned the ignition off. So I shift into 3rd and it revs fine till 4kish and it goes flat again. Going down the interstate at 70mph it ran fine and it pulled fine in 4th from 40 to 70.

Next fill up same thing happened when I tried again on the on ramp. But after the next fill up it ran fine and pulled hard in 2nd to 7k rpm. Think it was just bad gas and the ecu pulled timing or could it be a fuel pump/filter issue?

 

Throw any codes?

 

did u get any check engine lights or cels?

 

No check engine light at all.

 

Any ideas?

 

how about try using fuel injector cleaner? You can always drain your tank and start totally empty with fresh good gas.

 

Check you IC pipes, one probably popped off.

 

you remove the fuel pump, unbolt the tank and voila

 

Thats what happened to me, check your clamps make sure they are down tight with no leaks or anything

 

Ill take a look at the pipes. But its running fine now so I dont think it was that.

 

IF the IC pipe pop off, he wouldn't be able to go 40 to 70mph... Not even 30mph
