So my Clear coat is getting pretty trashed on my wing, is this warrantied through mitsu or what do i have to do to fix this?

 

a 2003 evo? lol no warranty man. either get it wet sanded adn re-cleared somewhere or buy one from somebody. there are plenty of threads on this subject

 

yeah i kind of surched the subject but got a mix of answers i guess some people have got it replaced and some dont :/

 

Sorry man. The cars to old. I just had my 03' redone. My buddy sanded it down and sprayed it with some good clear. Not OTC stuff.

its warranty.. 6 year old cars are not covered under warranty .

 

Got mine replaced in 05. Wouldn't let them installl it though LOL

 

well i guess she lasted longer than most i should be proud of that lol is there any thing i can do after i get it recleared to insure this wont happen again?

 

i have a 03 and my wing was looking like ****, i got the technical service bulletin number went to mitsu and they took pictures of my car, called me up a week later and said they would replace it for free. This was probable in fall 2007 but i still was also covered under most warranties still. They ended up giving me a flimsy 9 wing but whatever it looks better than my old wing

 

what is the diff from the 8 wing to the 9?

 

the 8's entire wing is carbon fiber, and the 9's center section is the only cf part. I have my 8's wing all the way down the the carbon fiber, just gotta clear it.

 

oh ok i heard something about that b4 but i thought it was the 9 wing that was all cf
