dropped by the dealer in NE philly

so i went by the dealer in ne philly... right off bustleton ave for you philly folk.

they had one left... red with sunroof and small spoiler. sales guy said he had sold eight of them already and had no more coming, which is probably a lie. he actually went on saying that they weren't coming out anymore and they were only gonna get the new lancer oz and ralliart. so i tell him i heard otherwise... then he says if i heard of a special version of the evo coming out. I said yeah. so apparently he knows something that he doesn't want to tell me.
i ask for a test drive, he says no since its a brand new car.

gotta say it was NICE. smaller than i expected to... smaller than my accord! I want one really bad now. The question is, black or white?

or should i just wait and see what changes will do to the evo for next year?

Hey.. wait and see... if you can't get a new one you can get a used one. My dealer could only get three and she sells Mitsu's by the dozen. One dealer I went to would not let an evo out but my dearler let me drive as much as I felt like driving and it worked I had to have it. Top book for my "00" 3g gt and 1500 off msrp helped. Salesmen are not a good sorce of information they say lots of stuff. The best line I heard was that the OZ has the same engine as the evo.

It isn't easy for off shore maufacturers to get Fed approval for new models. You see alot of cars being designed here and built in Normal Ill. by Mitsu.. like the 3g. I would not hold my breath for a radiacaly different model for a couple of years, but it would be nice to get a better clutch and less ridiculous fuel mapping and a more aggressive ignition and boost curve.
