What clutch do you have in there t-revzr?

 

If you know its phantom knock why not mod the knock tables?? Very common with big turbo multi plate clutches and some others mods.

 

I will do one last detonation test with my det cans tonight with my tuner and then I'll probably adjust the knock sensor table in that region.

 

Im on the stock clutch still lol

 

I am beginning to hate my Evo.

Car records 15-36 counts of knock just about everytime I pass 3000 rpms.

Det cans prove to me it's false knock.

What the hell should I do?

 

If you can check the sensor near the drivers side front of the motor. Maybe with the bigger turbo it got too hot and maybe messed somethin up? Maybe a knock sensor is going bad? if you have anyone in the area that you know you can try swapping sensors to see if thats whats causing the fals signal. I dunno though Im in class right now so I am just taking some guesses. Good luck man.

 

is this related to the p0300 multi misfire that a lot of evo8 guys get along with the part throttle hesitation @ 3-3.5k in 5th gear? i'm having this issue and i was going to adjust the knock filter in Ecuflash in some of the lower load cells @ 3k rpms. thing is im not sure which why to adjust the value (up or down) to make the knock sensor less sensitive. sorry for the thread jack but any help would be great.

 

P0300 reared its ugly head at least twice a week until I swapped new DP hangers, almost a month no lighted dash, knock on wood...no pun intented
