has anyone...
You guys are horrible. You can own a 30K car, but cant buy a cable for $120?? Also, with everything tactrix and EvoScan/limitless has done for the community, should be happy to pay $200.
Also, to evokid511
Stop fronting with your evokid.com. Im evo kid, not you. Your evokid511, go make a evokid511.com.
fyi: tactrix and evoscan/limitless are friends and business associates. Tactrix gave them permission to sale the cable.

I'll post a link to this in the ecuflash section so we can get the guru's behind the EVOscan and EVOflash to make sure that IF you make a cable it will not be compatible with their product.
Thanks for the heads up on the douchebagery that is taking place.

so you not going to use it for tuning - but only logging?
then buy the $57 cable from evoscan.org...
$30k for the car... $thousands on mods... $50 a week in gas... trying to save $50 on a cable priceless!

I posted the same in the ECUFlash Thread DB made
Crap I bought my 1.3 back in the day when they first hit the market. Best 100 I have ever spent.
Cable has done countless hours worth of tuning and logging on multiple cars. And saved me hundreds if not thousands in dyno time over the years. Its the link to my car still running after 120k miles.
Heck I'd buy 1 a year if I had to it's made it's money back 1000 fold at this point

if you dig hard enough, you can find the spec's to the Tatrix cable. The wiring diagrams were published a few years back.
once you have assembled the circut board, verified that everything works, and actually build a functional cable, you will probably have spent twice the amount of money and 4 times the effort to build a cable that you can buy for $100

Interesting logic...
If I throw a penny into a meat grinder, would you jump in after it?

Just get over it and buy a used one... I got mine for $70 I feel ashamed for that because like everyone else said... a lot of effort goes into cracking, writing code, etc... its $100 boo freaking hoo..... save the money that you would have spent on a BS grounding cable kit that does nothing for you!
If you want to build it, build it... its more than just wires and pins... there is a circuit board inside that thing...... Im sure you can get the parts for $50 or so, but dont forget how much is your time worth????

This thread should be locked. OP if your going to copy a tactrix cable, which is wrong IMHO, don't come on the forums asking for schematics and how tos that's just lame. It's like asking for the blueprints to Buschur's TBE.
how dare u try to do somthing on your own even if you like to build things you should never copy what someone else does
if you want to save money, i know i dont like to... you should pay full price maybe shop for the most expensive one you can find thats what i do
always think insdie the box geez
and who payed 30k for there car i know i didnt thats for sure

There are cheap cables out there for logging (<$15) but you still need to buy the "expensive" cables to flash.
Doesn't ECUFlash check the serial number on the cable when it goes to flash? (Just something I heard. Whether or not it's true, I don't know.)

whatever. everyone jump off the bandwagon. i understand what buschur is saying... everyone else just jumps on the bandwagon cause buschur said something.
and again, just cause i bought an evo doesnt mean i always have money to dump into it. so as i stated before if you guys are so against me doing this, ill setup a paypal account and you can all donate and get me a cable. sh*ts rough right now, not everyone has it as easy as you guys
