ive thought about this about a month ago and since my uncle is a computer engineer he would be able to build it for me but we couldnt find any scymatics of it and i dont have one to tear apart to see how its made if you could find the scymatics of it then it would be simple to build i think

I think it's a crappy thing to even consider. Here is a large group of guys working non stop to better the tuning software that is available to all of us, they do it for free. You can download the software for free. All they ask is you buy a cable that is reasonbly priced. Just buy the cable and invest in the tuning future of the EVO.

i think its crappy to charge 120 bucks for $25 bucks worth of connectors and wires...
i use evoscan, which costs 25 bucks, so they got money out of me. i dont have to use their cable and their program. i dont tune my car so none of that free junk applies to me.

their stuff isnt patented or anything. some of us dont have that kind of money just lying around for a cable. ill make my own for 5th of the price. its just gonna take a little effort, no big deal

To each his own. I would just buy the cable and focus on other more important areas of the car...

I never said there was anything necessarily "wrong" with your car, logging non-stop is a great habit, I just fully agree with busch...Are you looking to market these cables when/if completed?

$120 is a ****ing bargain for how much use you can get out of it.

Also, Evoscan is not written by the same people that sell the Tactrix cable.
