Hey there, getting an 03 evo8 next week and bringing it to canada, to regester it up here it needs DRLs. Now all of you with 8's, do they have daytimes? It doesn't impact my decision to get the car just a to know thing thats all.

USDM evo 8's don't have DRLS

My IX had the amber corner lights turned into DRL's by Canadian Tire when it was imported. I like the look.

just turn your lights on when you get in the car.

 

There is also a Do-It-Yourself thread about modding your lights so they work as DRLs.

 

haha i wish the law could see it the same way..

and yeah i was mayybe plannning on getting the corners as DRL's, i don't really want the HID's on all the time..

 

All my vehicles have had DRL's for a reason, as I believe in their effectiveness.........Was disappointed when I learned the EVO did not have them.

Needless to say, my EVO light switch is always on (Love the auto shut down)

 

Same, just do it like this, I don't see how you would have to change it specifically for DRLs.
