Short Antennas

Should I get a Perrin 4" or this Carbon fiber one?

I have been looking over a ton of them and can not decide.

I have the Perrin 2" and like it. I get no AM reception but FM reception is great.

I have read that there are FM reception problems with the Perrin antenna, anyone else have one and get problems? Or is there another brand that is better than the 2 I posted about?

I had a carbon fiber one from ebay and I couldn't pick up hardly any radio stations. I soldered a wound up copper strand inside and it helped, but it sucked. I ended up just going with a OEM S2000 and it works perfect, and looks alot better.

I Looked at that one also, I dont like the extension. Reminds me too much of the RC car feel that my OEM one has. Even closed it is not appealing.

I have the Perrin 4" and reception was a big improvement over stock, but then again when I bought the car the antenna was at a 90 degree angle from being hit with something.

Read all you want but I have one and noticed no loss in reception of FM stations. If you're worried about and aren't willing to spend the $25 on the Perrin either stick with the stock antenna, buy a JDM Evo 7 antenna, or buy a S2000 antenna.

I put a S2000 one on mine 4 years ago, no problems with reception at all. Worth the $30 spent. Great look and solid functionallity all on one IMO.
