around where i live it cost $3500 for a color change, only thing not included is engine bay.
shop around and talk directly to the painter, he can probably give you a good deal and can do your car as a side job and might cost you less.

I would not recommend you trading all the body with your friend with the white one. All the pats on an Evo come with a sticker that has the VIN number on it. You would have to peel all the stickers off. It would be easier to just have it painted, either way your driving an Evo, who cares what color it is.
