My biggest pet peave is someone not using a signal when changing lanes. Your commute is rather small however an old commute of mine, I counted so many cars that never used a signal.
I have been saying this for years to everyone I know.

I completely agree with you.

Just the other day I was visiting with the grandparents and I had the opportunity to ride in the car with one of them...with them driving. Holy crap, talk about the scariest ride in my life. I was honestly more scared driving with them then in any other driving situation that I have been in prior...ever! They dont signal, they shift lanes mid-turn with other cars next to them, they drive 65 in the fast lane, and the best part is that no matter how much honking or what type of gestures the aggrevated drivers use, the grandparents can't hear them; bad hearing and their peripheral vision I am pretty sure is non-existant, especially with those huge clip on sunglasses that act more as blinders. So with that being said, and after taking part in it, I can now see both why you need to be cautious of other drivers and why defensive driving techniques are taught in drivers education.

IMHO one of the biggest causes of road rage is the guy cruising in the left lane 10-15 under the posted speed limit. This causes others to get angry pass on the right causing all types of secondary anger and mayhem. The second cause of road rage is being cut off. Ultimatley it comes down to lack of respect for your fellow driver.

Driving on the autobahn was a breath of fresh air. If you come up on a slower driver they pull to the right immediately. Respect for you fellow driver.

haha I enjoy that kinda stuff... Most recently I was pulling out of a McDonalds (into a designated exit lane about 100 yards long) and an older lady (possibly a grandma) was with a little girl.. She beeped at me holding the horn as if I were going to smash into her leading to 2012... she passed me with a stern finger being pointed like i was a criminal.. I randomly got placed next to her at the light that was about a half mile up the road.. At first i didnt look over, then when I did, she was still raising her hands in disgust... I then started rubbing both eyes as if I were crying.. She did the same lol... Then i pulled out the big guns... I started licking my forehand and rubbing my head as if i were a kitten cleaning myself.. ladies eyes got huge and started laughing and drove away. Bad situation avoided. And yes, I looked around, no one else saw me.. The embarrassment was between only her and I hahaha... Any other time, I give them 3.5" of WOT

Driving like everyone else is a ****!ng retard is something you learn to do when commuting on a motorcycle. I take the same philosphy with me in the car. I drive aggressive to a point because I find when I drive passove I have had the most issues (almost accidents, being rear ended, run out of my lane) etc.

If I make a mistake I usually make an effort to get next the person and mouth "My Bad". Its funny but they'll be ready to shoot me but when they realize I'm admitting fault they relax......I hate when someone makes a mistake and then doesn't acknowledge you or worse they act like you did something to to them....That makes me want to beat someone's @$$

i feel the same way especially now with everyone out shopping for christmas gifts. people need to allow themselfs more time then they wont have to speed around like a holes in their huge suvs or piece of crap cars that arent meant to handle that speed to breaking real hard.

Dont even get me started on the heinous stuff people do when your on a motorcycle.

+1 to the semi aggressive driving style (and riding style for that matter) I tend to travel faster (not much, just enough to keep myself out of peoples blind spots) on my bike and in my car only to avoid people forgetting about you and pulling out in front of you or hitting me. That and 18 wheelers on the long highways have a lot of blind spots, I pass them (that and they kick up sand in the winter) and generally dont hang close to them for very long.

When someones pulling out, watch thier tires for clues to wether they are moving or not, its much quicker then watching the car for movement.

lol i don't trust any other driver, no matter who they are, so i'm always checking in every direction every couple of seconds when im driving. Ah man don't get me started on how many terrible drivers there are down here T.T fear of death :P

Agree with evoguy2 on the turn signal issue, its a tad bit annoying especially when they brake suddenly to make a right or change lanes.

I know this may sound evil and what not, but to calm my rage i think to myself calmly that one day those drivers will get into an accident and will suffer the rage of insurance, repairs, bad service, and a down time mwahaha. I'm sorry T.T (I have much darker thoughts than that lol)

Thats all you can/should do. You only have control over your own vehicle. Not to mention in the morning, you don't know how many people aren't awake yet.
