lol, must have bumped it with my knee that morning and didnt know it

The other thing that get me are the people, who at a stop light, see how close they can get to your rear bumper. just because you keep moving up doesnt mean the light is going to change any faster!!

if there are any fellow skiers or snowboarders out there, you know the same feeling waiting for the lift.

DRIVES ME CRAZY!! lol

Man i drive cautiously, park far from cars in the parking lot and i still manage bad luck! With my s2k i hit a deer, that made it passed a semi driving right next to me, a douche bag in the parking lot backs into my ride as i am walking up to it, then my car is parked on the street cause i just got done washing it and the neighbor forgot to put there car in park or in gear and it rolled down the driveway and partially down the hill to t-bone my car...... So far I've been lucky with the evo no real close calls other than one. I was going through a green light going the speed limit, 40mph. A lady decided to take off from the intersecting direction I had to slam the brakes and turn the car to not hit her. Thank goodness I had the Z1s on because another 12 inches and I'd have a different evo. Then the dumb ***** behind me just goes around me as I'm trying to back up and get inline with the lane to continue my journey.

On the bike I've almost been murdered about 6 times in the last 6 months.

I live in TX they are the worse f**king id!ots on the road. They always talk or text and NEVER use turn signals. They cut you off and make it seem like its your fault, if it rains they act like they are driving in a typhoon. They get about 1" of snow and they shut the roads down cause of "black ice".

some super old lady today on the way to work on the freeway almost plowed into me because she didnt check her blindspot. It wasnt like i was sitting in it at all, i was trying to switch lanes myself. But yeah since ive got this car i notice that i drive way more defensive and protective.

You think these scenarios are scary, well then imagine them while you are on a bike! The average American driver lacks even rudimentary driving ability and precaution. The only solution is to get over it, and to be permanently vigilant at all times, under all conditions. Never let yourselves stoop to their level and be distracted or fail to check your blindspots. You must always be alert of your 360 degree surroundings while you are on the road, and also be able to predict the intentions of other drivers.

[quote=SeeCoryRun;7735403]Does anyone else ever feel like you have to be more causious of other drivers more than your own driving? just this morning on my way to work, i had 3 people pull right out in front of me. i had my lights on and everything, plus i only live about 7 miles from work! does anyone else have this issue? i dont speed (5mph over) or drive erractically. you would think people would be more causious of nicer cars, but im starting to think it makes them more likely to hit you?!?

just a bit of a rant, but curious if anyone else feels this way?

-Cory[/quote

I think the nicer your car, the more sensitive you are to people being around you. I have an 2008 EVO MR, and a 1998 Chrysler Sebring. I don't notice as much when people are close behind me when I'm driving the Sebring, yet anything other than 10 feet behind me in the EVO is just too close for comfort...LOL. I find myself inching up away from others sitting on my tail!

Yeah, whenever you have a car you actually like it seems like people are always ready to smash into you.

agreed it is said that you need to be more cautious of others than yourself while on the road. You never know what the other guy is doing... or on
