Do HID foglights make a big difference?

I am thinking of converting the foglights on my 03 evo from halogen to HID. I would like to hear some experiences on light output to see if this is worth doing. The headlights are already HID.

I have HID's in my fogs (3000k) and highbeams (6000k). I barely use my headlights now. I use the fogs in the city where there is lights. My fogs and headlights in the suburbs where there is no lights for the most part and all three in the country side if I want to make sure I don't get killed by a deer or moose.

Yeah I know its overkill but it works for me. I don't get flashed by other motorists (Only if I'm using my regular headlights funny enough).

A lot of people here on the forums use the matching fog lights, as well as the hid upgrade kit.
I only have the fog lights matched to the hids on my car and they look great.

Those are probably halogens, and the wattage is the brightness/power it takes to light them. HID's typically run lower wattage, normal being 35w, higher wattage being 55w.

^That is correct. If you plan to use the "fog" light for what they are intended, I suggest going with 3k on color temperature. Will give you a great vision while in fog or rainy days. Since I live in Arizona, I dont get any of either of them. I'm matching my headlights and fog lights. Other wise I would have gone with the 4.3k on HL and 3k on fog lights.

I have a set of 3k HID fog lights. They are great and go well with the stock low beam HID's. Yellow on the bottom of the road and pure white to the top of the light cutoff.

I went with 6000K foglights, and 6000K headlights. I bought H11's for the fogs and D2S's for the projectors. I'm very happy with them. I had to raise my headlights up after lowering the car on coilovers though.
