What's stock untuned boost limit?

20-22psi untuned, I would not go much higher than stock. I've hit boost/fuel cut at 22psi on a cold day untuned. Currently self tuned at 24psi which is about the limit on stock fuel system.

Why? Stock boost spike is 19psi on a VIII, why would he want to go any lower than that?

Yeah, but a lot of people who use the evo's daily have it around 15psi slightly more. And btw stock boost it 19psi, but tapers off to 17or18 up on top.

i daily drive my evo and im tuned on over 30psi....

theres no need to turn the boost down. might as well not even get it tuned at 17 psi.... its not like these engines are made of glass

Yeah, I understand that, I own one and drive it everyday. And actually if you add an MBC, it doesn't taper like that.

Turning your boost down from stock is absurd. It comes from factory that way. Drive the car and enjoy it while you can, you never know when the car might be taken from you during an accident or theft. I've never understood this kind of mentality.
