Steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara
There is a guy in norcal doing this. It's the same as the one pictured on the RHD red evo. It doesn't look perfect since it doesn't cover the same area that the leather on the momo covers on the spokes, but it does look good. You have to sew it yourself if you are not local, but he makes the wraps. I think around 100 and it is not alcantara or suede, he flips leather inside out on his.
Alcantara is money for sure, but on steering wheels it just doesn't make sense. I had a Pretty expensive aftermarket MOMO wheel a while back and I just didnt hold up. The alcantara started to wear after a few months where my hands were normally positioned and I ended up buying another wheel (same one
) after a year maybe.
) after a year maybe.
Than being said the STI wheel pictured above and the VW GTI/R32 wheels do look amazing and $425 isn't too ridiculous if its REAL alcantara. I am sure they could do about any wheel if you sent it to them.
