Steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara

Well my momo is slow starting to deteriorate, and sadly it's no longer covered under warranty. So I'm looking into wrapping the wheel in alcantara. I'm hoping it would come out something like this. Has anyone had theirs done? If so how'd it turn out, post some pics.

I'm definitely interested in this. the "glossy" layer comes off in my hands when it's raining outside. So now i have random dull spots.

Pretty good idea. Have you tried looking for an Auto Interior shop locally? They could probably handle it in 2 hours.

Although they are very nice to look at and feel great when new. They don't last long and get soiled very easily. On top of that it starts to ball up the alcantra and starts looking bad. I'm extremely **** about how my cars look inside and out. I had this same problem with my M3. So this is from experience not my brothers freinds freind haha.

I can't see how that would hold up well or last long.
