Bootleg JDM taillight mod.. anyone?`

so i pretty much hate the stock evo taillight with that nasty altezza look..
i wanna get a pair of jdm evo VII tails but unfortunatly i have bills to pay and a slipping clutch..

i was thinking about buying some sheets of Red tailllight film and doing a little overlay on the stock tails to make them fully red.
i figure its as cheap and close to the jdm tails i could get.. plus it might look pretty good actually and i got nothing to loose i mean if i dont like it i could just pull it off u know?.. well anyway was really wondering if anyones ever dont this before? if so how does it look? ik its a paiin in the *** i've instaled taillight tints before very time consuming.

but does anyone have pics of this done??

should i do it? gimme some opinions..

this is what it looks like on a wrx.. http://www.decalfx.com/red_tail_light_film.html

the only difference in look would be the little bar reverse light/blinker bar (??) on the bottom of the taillight would be red as the jdm VII's its like white..

I would be worried of the film coming off as I'm driving to be honest. But IMO, I think it'll look good!

lol he charges 165 to black them out so i assume make them evo 7 style is the same price or cheaper + shipping of course i can ask him or have him pm you. Forget that peeling off crap. you can buy evo 8 tails off this fourm for like 80 if you choose you want to go back and sell your painted ones.

The "search" button in the ribbon toolbar acrost the top of EVERY page here. its between "New posts" and "quick links" if that helps.

If you cant figure out how to search then prepare to have some threads closed for user error. Sorry.
