Evo 6 rear dif/ suspension

Hey guys, this is my first post on here, but I've been lurking for a while.

Im building an Evo 6 out of a Mirage (and im trying to do it correctly).

I found a rear diff w/ suspension and subframe (actually 2, but the guy thinks one is a front lol) I was hoping someone on here could help me identify the rears.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...t_15553wt_1167

Also, I found an Evo 4 half cut, and was thinking that it might be easier to convert the evo 4 front suspension/ engine to Evo 6 specs? This would be nice because I would have the PS lines, AC lines, etc. I know that the Evo 6 has a wider track, but are the control arms and spindles the only things that are different on the front suspension of the evo 6?

Thanks A LOT to anyone who can give me a hand!

Thanks a lot man. It just threw me off a little because the disk says "EVO IV" instead of "VI"

Do you know anything about converting the IV to VI front suspension?

I agree with raidokoiv! I can not place that other rear end but it is not out of an EVO VI. Consider that before buying.

Im keeping it LHD. So far this is my plan:

Trunk floor pan out of a junked Evo 8 welded in to mount up the rear sub frame. Im looking at an Evo 4 front half cut, which would be nice because I would get the engine (No problem modifying to Evo 6 spec; my family owns a repair/ machine shop), tranny, all accessories, intercooler, all hoses/ emissions equipment, ecu.
I would just need to convert the evo 4 front suspension to evo 6 suspension.

One thing about my project is that I'm torn between building a Makinen edition or just a regular VI. I can always make that decision later on in the project though.

Try www.mirageforums.net if you haven't already. TONS of good info. A few other people have made AWD Mirages on there. I'd like to make mine AWD, but I'm too poor and need to sell it instead.

He tried telling me how it was the front diff because its an awd car. I asked him why there are no tie rods going to the spindles and told him that the front wheels are driven right off of the diff in the tranny. I heard some mumbling in the background and then got put on hold for a few minutes. When he came back we agreed to split the price down the middle and I take the Evo VI rear only

Oh nice, seems like the swap is a little more common than I thought. I just signed up right now and I'm checking the forum out

There is a guy that visits both evom and the mirage forums that is building an Evo out of a Mirage. I forgot his name though, BCspeed something or other. Most guys makes Evo's out of 4g Mirages because those are more similar to DSM's and have easier access to DSM past's where the 5g Mirage, as I'm sure you know have nothing do to with DSM's and are much more related to 4-6 Evo's.

seems like the evo 6 stuff is a lot harder to come by than the evo 4. Makes it even harder to do a conversion when I've never seen a 6 in real life and its near impossible to find pictures of the underside of them online.

I can make some pics tomorrow.Do you know evo gsr have AYC rear diff, which mean you need AYC pump and ecu and all harness if you want AWD working correctly.???
Suggest buy RS rear diff and axles. This one is much stronger and conversion is much easier

To answer your question about the front end, there was some changes made to the subframe on the evo5 which carried over to the 6 which was a change in height of the steering rack, so if you were to use an evo4 subframe then bolt in evo6 arms and knuckles (which go straight in) you could end up bump steer issues.
