You have to brace the underside of the trunk when mounting a spoiler on it.

just some thoughts to think about for support large fender washers or flat aluminum/steel stock ( aluminum wont rust and is much lighter) but this is the way to go if you want your trunk to hold up on the street

CF is mighty pretty, lightweight and strong.... but very brittle. I wouldn't suggest putting it back on at all. Your hood might just get ripped off. Then again, it would depend on many factors.

you will probably have to make some sort of brace on the underside of the trunk to disperse the weight and pressure evenly over a greater amount of surface. this should keep the wing from ripping off. brace with what? i couldnt tell you lol sry

It's quite common as I was going to re mount my spoiler at one point on my CF trunk and had considered the bracing per a speed shop in my area.

If your trunk is flexing and the spoiler is moving around, do you think its really serving it's purpose?

^^^Yup don't drill. Use a dremel tool. If you use a drill you will crack the clear coat and then it will start to yellow.

Go to home Depot and buy a $60 dremel and use that.
