Heater Control

I am having problems with my heater control, it sticks and will not allow full rotation to full heat. My car has been to the dealer once before, they replaced sometihing, it worked for awhile but only too fail again. I was wondering if other EVO owners had this problem and what was done to fix it.

Cheers,
Winston

Mine's still working but this is definitely an awful design. Not smooth, not consistent.

Mine sticks occasionaly, i just have to turn it the opposite way and then back again, and it works fine.

well with all that heat billowing out of the hood, it's hard to believe that we can't turn the inside into a sauna..

Yeah, I remember reading a thread where a EVO owner figured out what to do to fix it but I can't find it. I don't think it is normal, I mean my heater will not even go to full hot, maybe 3/4 the way and that is it. My dealer apparently feels the same way because they tried to fix it once. Thanks for the feedback.

Cheers,
Winston

speaking of controls, has anyone read the quick guide and noticed that on some settings the a/c will turn on without lighting the indicator. just a heads up because i'm sure a few people have made the mistake of racing with the a/c on.

Haven't had problems with mine, but I can say the knob doesn't feel very consistent at all.

If you turn the temp control to full cold, the recirculation light will automatically turn on, I'm not sure about the AC light though. It's like a little dot even lower than the coldest setting that says something like MAX AC.
