oil/fuel spitting out of exhaust

i started up the evo this morning since i havent in like a week, and it started spitting a black liquid like substance out of the exhaust, my guess either being oil or gas

i have an MR downpipe and helix 3" exhaust
i just added a test pipe about 2-3 weeks ago, could that cause this and is it a problem?

With a test pipe you will get some blow through sediment from the tailpipe and possibly some crap from all the way up near the exhaust maifold. It is funny to see when some people switch up, for instance, my first startup with a test pipe left a whole mess of crap on the floor behind the car . The wetness might be some condensation that built up in the pipes from it getting hotter on start up and it blew through the tailpipe.

If your exhaust smoke was blue, then we would have something to worry about, but it just sounds like some garbage that was sitting before the cat.

Hope this helps

gotcha, yea that does help a lot thanks, there has been a lot of temperature change lately too, 25 one day, 70 the next, and it was on the humid side today because it rained

Since you haven't started your car in a while... could be just moisture collected in the exhaust.
Mixed with carbon in the exhaust... looks black.
