Where do you even get your car weighed?

 

We just pulled Chris Cessnas RS off of our scales tonight and she came in at 2631. A few more light weight parts and she will be in the 2500's .

any performance shop that does corner balancing would have access to scales

race tracks

or truck stops (overall car weight and nothing more)

 

my 03 GSR was right at 308x at prosolo and i have nothing taken out that was just under 1/2 tank of fuel w/o me. With full tank and my sub it was 312x

 

a mini battery would improve that scale quite a bit

 

he already has the mini battery listed as weight reduction in the first post. i would like to know what mine weighs with a full tank of gas without any reduction

 

Get some lightweight drivetrain parts now too and you'll definitely dip under 3k

 

FWIW my 100% stock IX RS without spare and tools at quater tank weighed in at 3090...

 

I'll have to get mine weighed when I'm done with it, got some good ideas from this... Maybe move the whole dash and driver's seat back to improve balance, like in the Sierra Sierra time attack Evo... lol

 

For a IX RS to be that light. (3090) with only spare and jack out. I still have the copys to the titles of my 04 and 06 RS and there is almost 50 pounds more on the IX RS over the 3175 of the 04 RS.
Right now my 04 is:
Minus the front crash beam
BR 3 inch turbo back, (-35)
spare and jack removed
BR mini batt
IX SE BBS wheels
But have added a BR Race core and pipes, intake, cams.
Car should be around 3025-3040 right now. Would like to get another 50 off of it.

 

i would think that the RS would be lighter, my 03 GSR is under 3100 w/o taking anything out but my sub and just under 1/2 tank of fuel.

removed:
Evap cannister and hardware/brackets
spare tire, jack, tools
washer tank n lines, sprayers
sprayer tank and pump
radio head unit
speakers

considering ac removal, ps removal, half radiator, lighter wheels
Not considering cutting my doors roof or anything too irreversible

Can looks stock and feels extremely light

 

I weighed mine and it was 2992 with out me. I have some more parts to get and would like it down around 2900. I am planning on dropping about 50 lbs rotating mass which will help a lot.

 

if i didn't DD my car i would love to bring it down to something close to 3000-3100 without me in it. I can't imagine what it weighs right now lol.
