Tune on Tuesday

Tuesday the Evo is going down to CBRD to let Chad work his magic on her. It's the first tune that is going to be put on the it, so I'm really excited. Hopefully it'll feel like a whole new car.

A little backround about the car:

I bought it a little over a year ago, bone stock with 52K on the clock, and since then have just added a few bolt-ons. I didn't want to go too fast with the mods, because I feel you don't really know the car if you buy it and start adding things right off the bat. I drove it stock for about 6 months, and I couldn't wait anymore.

Mod list as of today are:
AMS LICP, Muse SR UICP, Buschur Mini-Bat kit, Buschur Intake, Ebay TBE ($80.99 and fit perfectly even with ACD), IX MR DV, HDI IC, Greddy TT. Most of that I just added within the last month, so now it has to be tuned.

Next set of mods will include a new suspension first, then 272s, a Walbro, IX turbo (or something bigger if I can afford it), and a MBC.

Thanks for reading, and I'll let you all know how she drives in a few days.

I'm excited to see how it turns out, that's exactly the route I want to take if I find a stock evo

Hope you get the numbers your looking for, I know the car will feel a hell of a lot better once you get it tuned. Hopefully you don't get "heartbroken" with Chad's dyno

Thanks everyone. Yeah, I did wait a while to get it tuned. Mostly all of the performance mods I just put on within the last month, so now drivability is taking a nose dive. It idles up and down, and is running pretty rich. Believe me, I'd love to add more but I just can't hold out any more. Plus, there are things that I want to do before more performance stuff goes on. I'll be happy just driving it how it is for now.

at least install the walbro now instead of later...it's cheap insurance. You should wait just a little longer so you can put the cams in and then tune. You'll be content with the power for a long time before the ix turbo goes in. Cams are relatively cheap if bought used. Install is where they get you though...

slap the cams then do the tune, you already waited this long, sounds like a wasste of money if the 272's are in your future.

Good Luck

Get some cam's and a fuel pump. You'll be glad you did!
