The only difference that I have found after searching is that the Samco Rad hose kit for the 9 has one more hose for the reservoir.

Does anyone know if the main hoses top and bottom are the same for the 8 and 9 (length, shape, diameter)?

I have tried emailing Samco and they have yet to respond so I figured I would ask.

The reason I am asking the question is because I am looking at a set of viper red rad hoses for my Evo 9 and they are only listed for the Evo 8.

 

The 9 lower hose is quite a bit shorter than the 8.

 

So then if the shape of the lower hose is the same I could use 8 hoses on a 9, with some trimming of course. Does anyone know if the shape of the lower hose for the 8 and the 9 are the same? Thanks for the help and reply's!

 

lol funny im pretty sure the only true difference in the evo 8 and 9 is mivec and thats in the head the rest of motor is the same hints why parts are interchangable. soo the hoses should fit just fine for evo 8 or 9 the 9 kit comes with a extra hose.
