Excessive boost + snow caused rear wiper to stop working

So, a lot of wet snow came off the roof and onto the rear wiper as it was going up. It didnt push the snow off until i brushed it off. When i turned it on again, it worked really slow twice and now doesnt work at all. Watsup?

Was hoping to hear something else. Ive had to replace a windshield wiper motor in one of the audis and it was like 400 beans.

before you go through all that do this...

pop the plastic cap at the base of the wiper assy

you'll see a nut...tighten it

one time I had ice freeze my wiper to my window and when I turned it on the nut loosened since it couldn't turn

Or if you managed to get lucky somehow it could have just blown a fuse before it burned up the motor, you could check those also.

on the base of the wiper stalk

you'll see a spot where you can pop open the base

go take a look and it will make sense

This happened to me also during the mini snowstorm that NC got hit with a couple weeks back.

My problem was that the rear wiper would only do about half my window..then just get stuck there. I would have to pull the wiper back to the starting point manually..and it was a huge pain.

I just tightened up the nut where Chaotichoax showed you a picture of and that solved my problem.

check if its not loose, then check the fuse, then you could start with the motor

Yea delete it completely and plug the hole. Ive been waiting for the day that I get bored enough to get rid of it. No snow in florida and as for rain, it falls down our 90 degree angled rear window before it can collect or block vision. I think deleting it looks clean just cant bring myself to rip off a working part. In your case Id be pulling it out, reservoir and all.
