Whos ever took their evos on longggg trips?
Drove from Orlando FL, to Seattle, Wa, was driving about 16 hrs a day, I've driven it on several 24 plus hrs trips with no issues, I'll be investing in cruise control before next long trip. Only complaint was that my knee was killing me from applying the right pressure at the gas pedal.
I have made several 4 hours trips (8 round trip) without a problem. The only problem is it can wear tires faster, add miles to the car, etc. As long as your car is in good shape, no problems.
One thing I don't understand why Mitsu skipped was cruise control. How much additional meat does that add to the car? Cmon!

Drove from Albuquerque to Phoenix on my E85 setup(386/421) and back to Albuquerque(about 900 miles round trip) and the car ran and did perfect. Not having cruise control sucks. But setting the coilovers on full soft helped the ride quite a bit.
San diego to Va in my ralliart, since ive had the evo i did 1 trip of like 150 miles and i needed a new clutch the next day (used car not ****ty driving) so ive been weary ever since. Tho fairly shortly ill be making a 4-6 hour drive to PA for a tune.
wats gonna be interesting tho, is my next roadtrip to california im getting a TA cage and coilovers. So from california back to mississippi my car will be caged on Muellerized Motons... im guessing a stiff ride lol
10 years ago I co drove a right hand drive GSR Evolution V non stop from San Diego CA. to Bristol Ct. in 43hours. I was not even allowed to sip a coffee before engaging the clutch without the owner screaming to drive!! Back in the 70s' the record was about 35 hours to cross the country in the Cannon Ball Run. We will never see that record broken because there is so much more traffic and police now.
