^ +1 hahahz. when me and my gf were in college i frequently visited her 2-3 times per semester traveling about 500+ miles round trip from Cornell back to central jersey. The car runs fine and solid every time.

Cruise control is one of those love hate things. I wish it was there when i need it but dont want the extra weight so i would rather not have it on my car. But keeping your feet at an angle position for 3 hours on the accelerator is killer!

A couple of trips to Mississippi from Oklahoma when I had my Evo VIII. Drove from South Dakota to Philly and back, the trip there was good but coming back sucked....

I drove from Miami to Charlotte NC (800) miles, with a upgraded turbo, cammed standalone evo with no problems. The gas millage sucks, but trade-offs I guess.

I am not sure what you consider log trips but, I usually drive to either Greenville, SC or Atlanta, GA (starting from Washington D.C. Metro area) 1280mi. I do this at least once a month and never had a problem with the car or comfort level.

Drove ~6,000 miles a few summers ago through the desert Southwest, CA, Pacific NW & Rockies. My only issue was an occasional misfire CEL, but I was prepared w/a cheap code reader to clear these.

The only other must-have, besides basics like spare H2O, food, oil, etc., is a radar detector.

ive done 3,265 miles in 7 days on the one lap of america, car was fine an pretty comfortable, only thing that got annoying was not having cruise control, dont know the exact amount of hours driven, and ive only done it once so far.
