Nebraska to West Virginia, that took three days. I figure driving is like work, 8 hours and I am done. Toured Civil War battlefields and the Air and Space Museum at Dulles. Then took the Auto Train to Florida. We had a compartment on the auto train and that night they strapped us to our bunks. During the night you find out why. Some of those tracks must date from the Civil War.

The beaches on the Gulf of Mexico are gorgeous. Then home, another 3 days.

My Evo has cruise control. I installed it about 5 years ago and it is the best money I ever spent. I just went to a place that does custom installations and bought a box of parts. It took awhile to figure out where to put everything, the Evo engine compartment is kinda cramped.

And I love the Evo seat - 45 minutes in my wife's WRX is all I can stand, the WRX front seats kill my back. But in my Evo I feel as good when the day's driving is done as when it starts. IMHO the Evo is a great touring car.

Salt Lake City to Portland Oregon, then up the coast to Seattle and back down before coming home. Round trip ended up being around 2200 miles. I love road tripping in the evo because its the only car I can sit in for long periods of time without it hurting my lower back. Yeah, its not gentle but I'd take some rough bumps and a back that isn't sore after being in the car for 13 hours...

This wasn't a kit per say. I went to a shop and a clerk and I rummaged for parts. You need an actuator and a control for the steering column. The hardest part of the installation was finding a place for the actuator. I put it on the strut bar next to the master cylinder. Also, I needed to figure out how to attach the pull cable to the accelerator cable. I used a little clip I found at a hobby RC store. Then I found the speed signal wire coming from the tranny and the secret grommet that gets you through the firewall.

There is no place to mount a clutch switch so no clutch switch. This doesn't seem to matter much on my install. If I forget to hit the brake first the engine doesn't rev that much.

All in all, about a day's work, but about half of it was running around and head scratching. The best I remember, the parts came to about $250.

Picked up my MR brand new in Costa Mesa, CA. Drove 2600 miles to ATL. 4 days with a stop in Albequerque and New Orleans. Then a year later another 1000 mile trip from ATL to NYC. Bone stock on both trips but still had a blast.

I've driven mine probably 1100 miles round trip. Wasn't too bad. No cruise sucks BALLZ! I'm going to do some road tripping this summer as well. I wouldn't be worried as long as your maintenance is up to date.

Back in December when I was on leave before comming to Afghanistan I drove... a lot.

Ft. Campbell, KY to Cape Coral, FL
Cape Coral to Key West
Back to Cape Coral
Cape Coral, FL to Fridley, MN

In 13 days.

The trip from Florida to Minnesota I took two days to do, it was 25 hours of road time. I only stopped for gas, food, and a 7 hour stay at a hotel.

Not really a "longggg" drive but I drove 500 miles from PHX to Las Vegas when I bought the car... The seats proved they are comfy right out the gates.

Chicago to philly - when i bought the car 850mile

philly to chicago - three round trips, so about 6000+ miles.

they twisty mountain roads are fun... after that it gets really boring reallly quick.

all i have to say is that ohio highway troopers are tough. i always saw like 10 cars pulled over each time i drive threw.

flew to New York. Bought my RS and drove it back to Iowa. 1100 miles straight just stopped for gas and food. only spend 128 dollars on gas.

I am planning on driving out to the shootout in aug.
