Just recently bought an 03 evo viii and was wondering with the following mods what kinda whp gains im looking at and different suggestions for other parts.
The only mod when i bought it was a k&n drop in from previous owner.

AEM short ram intake
HKS 272 Cams
Cam gears (Will the stock gears be alright.? )
HKS hi power exhaust system
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
Forge MBC
O2 Housing and Downpipe (Any suggetions?)
And a good tune on the dyno of course.

 

I try not to mess with aem...I have had bad experiences with them in the past...go ets
I have heard good things about hks cams but I have heard better things about kelford
stock cam gears are fine
I would buy an electronic boost controller so you don't have to get out of the car every time you want to adjust it...your tuner will thank you for that

 

HKS intake usually gives the most gains from what I've seen. I don't really agree with the above statement about an EBC. Just get a Hallman MBC or something. As far as 02 housing, just go with a buschur or invidia or something.

 

HKS intake, HKS exhaust, HKS cams, walbro fuel pump, MBC (any mbc is good really), HKS downpipe, a nice tune then you should be in 330-350 whp range.

a camm'ed bolt on evo viii makes about 330 whp on a dynojet
