Windows fogging up, what to do?

Hey all,

Hardly a glamorous topic, but since it's raining non-stop here at the moment this is becoming something of an issue. On my old car, I just turned on the aircon and the fog would magically disappear.

No such luck on the evo 9, aircon doesn't seem to affect it and even opening the windows (which is obviously not comfortable either) doesn't help all that much. Can't even read the manual to look for a solution as it's in Chinese

Anybody have a good trick to clear the fog?

Thanks!

Turn on the heat.

Light Heat, Level 1 Setting, Window/Floor Mode.

If its really foggy, 100% Window mode, High Heat, Level 4 Mode until fog is gone. Then return to Light Heat, Level 1 Setting for normal driving.

Works for me. I'm in Seattle, rains a lot. I'm pro at this. ;P

This works well. Or you could bring a passenger with you to wipe all the windows down when your driving

I use rain x anti-fog wipes. just wipe all the inside windows and it won't fog in the morning or on raining days. http://www.rainx.com/Products/Windsh.../Anti-Fog.aspx

Check your cabin air filter first. If it is restricted (dirty) your a/c will not be properly drying the air and defogging the windows.

+1. You will never have to use your defroster again.

The cabin air filter is for filtering allergens and dirt out of the air, it is not for drying anything as it is only a paper element.

Window defroster is the best way to fix this problem.

Window defroster is the best way to fix this problem.

A clogged filter will keep the A/C from displacing the moist air in the vehicle. Which results in the windows staying fogged. Fact.
