lost power? :(

Either way you are removing power to the ECU. It is not much different than unplugging a computer that is turned off IMO. It loses power just as fast and gets power to it just as fast either way you remove the power going to it.

Of course you are not doing this while the car is running only while it is turned off.

Theres more chance of shorting it out if you play with it at the connections while the battery is plugged then if you play with it while the battery is unplugged. Yes it gets power instantly right away regarding either way u do it, but id rather work on something that doesnt have any power going to it rather than working on something that has power going to it as im working on it IMO.
