tru boost problem? help

I just installed an aem tru boost into my evo 9. i had a mbc(turbo xs) and i was boosting 25 lbs.i installed this aem tru boost gauge, made sure everything was right, and now i cant seem to get it to boost passed 11-12 psi. My boost is set to 23, the spring setting for the wastegate is 11. i dont know what else to do or what the problem could be? although i do have a hose missing off of my stock solenoid. could that be the problem? if anyone has any incite please let me know. thanks alot.

Do you mean when you are setting boost you actually put in 23? If so thats the issue. You dont put in the actual boost psi. Brain cramp right now and cant remember the term for what its called but you put in a higher #.

on the tru boost at or around sea level, 52out of 90 should put you at 20lbs. right now i'm at 70 and i'm at 25lbs in the gear with my mods.
SPr does really depend on you, the higher you put it the faster it spools, but the more likey you are to spike.

ahh you mean the duty cycle should be at around 50 to 70 percent, varying differntly with each car obviously. but i never plugged up my factory boost solenoid. could that also be a problem? i just never had anything to plug it with and a friend gtold me its fine to leave it the way it is.

My stock soleniod is plugged in to the harness but no vaccum lines. And duty cyclee I kinda weird, the tru boost only goes to 90.

I run the wastegate crack/spring pressure at 11-13 and its fine. I notice at 12 or 13 boost seems to hit a little harder (although I have no data) so I usually keep it around there. I'm using the factory wastegate on the BBK turbo. With the AEM tru boost turned off I get 13-14 psi so that should be around wastegate pressure I'm assuming. I don't know why anyone would want to run the crack pressure lower than wastegate pressure.

crack pressure adjusts how the boost comes inot the motor, your really should mess with it. itsall about personal preference. I've heard 11.5 on both is good to go

Isn't a Tru Boost a boost controller and you sure you have it setup right?

there really isn't a wrong way to set it up with in the controller. figuring out how to make it work for you is tricky

I cant possibly see how you guys are setting duty cycle above 50 and getting 20psi of boost My duty cycle is set to 37% with 11.1 spr and im getting 22-25 psi of boost. I'm actually trying to acheive 24 psi consistently but cant seem to get that. with the exact same duty cycle every day my boost fluctuates from 22-25 and its pissing me off. someone help!

Did Aaron set the crack pressure to 3 or did you set it there? He set mine at 11 or 12 way back when.
