i went to the mitsubishi deal to pick up some blue by you touch up paint.. ..to find out that they no longer sell this..

does anyone know where i could find a little bottle of blue by you touch up paint online? im having a hard time locating this. =(

under mitsubishi evolution 2003, the only blue they have is "pacific blue." do you have any experience with that?

i think the word you were looking for is "discontinued," not "obsolete."

the computer screen showed obsolete when he showed me. good point though. im gonna change that. haha.

That means you should paint it a different color. Like Wicked White...

^ This is correct. Pacific Blue and BBY are the same. The touch up paints go by the common Mitsubishi names (not the Evo specific names). It threw me off at first too when I could not find Tarmac Black.

You can probably find the Pacific Blue pen but I am not that crazy about the results you get. The touch up "systems" like drcolorchip are a better option imo.

Is there any other options out there besides Dr. ColorChip?

I just have a tiny spot I want to touch up and do not need anything like the Dr. ColorChip and do not feel the need to spend so much on something I only need to use once.

I got the Drcolorship for my bby, "color=T10", i've touched up a few area's and its a good match. I called the dealer while back and they even said they dont carry this stuff, and even if they did have anything on the shelf, he said he wouldn't sell it because it would prbably be dried up lol

Yeah, go to your local Carquest and ask them which store closest to them mixes paint.

Then go to that paint store with your VIN, Production Date, and if possible, the car.

They will look up the code, consult the variant deck, and mix you a small amount of paint and a small amount of clear but it is more expensive than most touch-up solutions.

You should be able to get it mixed if you get the paint code or bring a sample of your old touch up pen at any paint shop. I was able to get touch up paint for my 98 GSX even up until a couple years ago, so I don't see how they would stop carrying it for a evo 8.
