no, it spins off, CCW. Might try a rubber glove or something like that for more grip. Or find someone with some popeye forearms

Yeah dude it spins off....lefty loosy righty tighty. haha. I'm sure you know that but you sould be turning towards the Driver side. If you have some rubber tipped Channel locks they would work or if you are replacing that knob because it's defective or whatever then use some regular channel locks.

Some of the MR knobs are lock tited on that's why some people say just spin it. I personally had to destroy mine by removing the CF piece on top to get to the hex nut inside it. Once I loosened that nut it spun right off.

Mine was lock tighted on by the factory. I managed to get it off by using one of the rubber strap type vice tools. I think these are usually used by plumbers for pipes and such but it worked great on my car. Even with this tool I had to put a good amount of torque into it. Good luck.

I've seen these...they will work good. Check Lowes or Home Depot.

lol it comes off pretty easy.
most people can't get it off because they have no grip, +1 for using gloves if you can't get it off. Mine came off with ease just using my bare hands.

^are you reading posts? Some of the MR knobs will not come off easy. You either need to remove the hex nut or strip it.

That is correct, if yours doesnt have it just turn that b!tch till it breaks loose. They use loctite on most of the parts on the Evo.

Well I used a strap wrench to remove it. Finally got it off. Can't believe how tight that thing was on there. I put the one on I bought. A used OEM 6sp knob. LOL it doesn't line up sticker is upside down.... UGH NOW WHAT
