I was tuned by Shiv with my Xede and my Evo ran great for many years. I removed the Xede because of its old technology.

I'm glad the op got his car straightened out. Good luck with your Evo in the future.

It amazes me we dont see more totaled evos than we do.

why on gods earth would someone remove the only right part about the car? boost pills are GHETTO. use a boost controller! your "local evo guys" should sell their evos as well, and go back to the civics they traded in to get the evo.
Don't read through the Tuning section much do you? ECU controlled boost is the wave of the future...

Well, still not really sure how it's "Ghetto" when you're still using the ECU to control boost...less precise than a 3 port...but it's the same idea.

And YES, I have a GM 3 Port in my car...

With a 3 port you can get rid of the pill.

Both use the same end to control boost via the ECU.

Running a 3 port or a upgraded boost pill untuned will cause the turbo to overboost and lead to possible damage.

Yes...this is well known. But for those not one with the way of the 3 Port...it's still a viable option.

This is also true. My vote is for 3 port. Grimmspeed makes a nice one.

My car is back to hesitating again. I don't know if it's the cooler weather, but it just started acting up this last month. Does anyone have any ideas of why it's happening again? The car is completely stock besides an AMS LICP and evo 9 MR boost valve
