Cobb Stage 2 Overboosting

I just flashed to the stage 2 93 octane AEM intake map and while logging I noticed that I am overboosting to high 27 psi and experiencing boost cut in the higher rpm range. I removed the boost pill per Cobb's instructions and the only mods I have are the AEM intake and TurboXS TBE. Should I put the pill back in? If so can anyone tell me which way the smaller opening of the pill should be facing (towards the intake or away). I wasn't paying attention when I removed it.

It also appears that my hose from the fuel pressure regulator to the intake manifold popped off and is causing fluctuating idle.

Wow. 27 psi and no pressure signal to the FPR ... be happy you still have an engine.

Oh, and while you're celebrating said happiness, put a zip-tie on that hose.

^^^^^ impressive!

not sure which way the pill goes but cobb sells a 3 port now and they have an OTS map for it. should offer better boost management.

Thank god for the fuel cut, otherwise it could have been bad. I knew it was the FPR hose as soon as I heard the pop. ASC light came on and overboost code followed. Still not sure whether I should try reinstalling the pill or just switch to the LWG map. I place two metal clamps on the FPR hose hopefully they hold.

I ran the LWG map and still overboosted according to boost gauge and logs. I left the restrictor pill in (which I thought might lower boost but I'm not sure of the impact)

After IC install with LICP and UICP car felt slower for the week until Cobb Pro-tuned with 3 port in Dallas and its running much more consistent boost.

Isnt stage 2 Target 26 PSI +- 1.5 PSI ?? That is what mine said on map note on 2012 stage 2 93 SF intake map. I occasionally hit 27 too but never experience any fuel cut, i thought that's still within the range of target boost.

I have the same thing. I have the AEM intake, Cobb Intercooler pipe kit, Forge BOV and Intercooler, and down pipe back cobb 3 inch exhaust. I have hit 28.8psi with the LWG setting and I have never removed the pill. My car runs like a demon and has no issues. I have the three port in the trunk waiting for the tuner shop to install and re map the car. BUT i haven't had any mechinical issuses...

I ran into the exact same issue last night doing some pulls. ETS catback and stage 13 maps. I flashed over to the LWG map, gonna see if it gets better...
