Just ordered eBay o2 housing and TBE
We used to order full stainless concentric coolers from a company. About two years ago we noticed the high failure rates. We come to find the company we were getting these cooelrs from started purchasing coolers from a mfgr in china. they were not full stainless anymore. they are now "stainless coated".
when you buy an exhaust for $100 that has over $100 in "stainless steel" in it. Most likely it's not full stainless steel. If you look at the prices of metal.. , forming cost, labor (even cheap Chinese labor), shipping,, you're not buying a full stainless exhaust. The Chinese are undoubtedly the masters of producing a part as cheap as possible. They are very creative.
304, 316, 409, 410, 430 are all considered HSRs High Stain Resistant steels
Just a reminder... Ignorance is the lack of knowledge.
Man.. this place is turning into POS DSM.

I get into the bad habit of calling it stainless coated. It's a Ni/Ti/Fe/Cr plating.

Whatever do for a living, it obviously doesn't involve the manufacture of metal products.
