Is there a difference between the evo 8 and evo 9 top steering column cover. I was gonna buy the gauge pod for my evo9 but they mostly all say that the fit only evo 8, is this true, and what would be the difference.

 

there is no difference in sizes. i had an autometer dual pod that was listed for an evo8 and it fit my 9 without a problem. it attaches with 3m tape to the existing cover. i had to hack mine up a bit to fit.

not using it anymore though and bought another stock steering cover.

 

I figured i would be able to make it(force it to fit) but i wanted to know the difference, why did you have to hack it up.

 

Anbody else install one of these in there evo 9? Or know what iss the diff if any between the 8 and 9 upper column cover?

 

If you're looking at a single-gauge Autometer pod, I have one in mint condition that's already attached to a IX steering wheel cover that I can sell. This way, you can keep the stock cover unmarred. Shoot me a PM if interested.
